Release arrested students immediately: Congress T MPs
The congress MPs from the Telangana region on Friday called upon the Chief Minister Mr. K. Rosaiah and urged him to lift cases and free students and activists who were arrested in the Telangana agitation. The government should immediately release the arrested students especially the members of the Joint Action Committee of students (JAC) as declared by the Union Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram in his statement on December 9th. However, the administration totally failed to oblige the center’s word on the arrests as several students are still under the custody of police. The MPs sent in a memorandum to the Chief Minister to this extent and urged him to consider the issue of lifting cases booked on the students. The delegation of MPs included Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar, Mr. Anjan Kumar Yadav, Mr. Sarvey Satyanarayana, Mr. Madhu Yashki Goud, Mr. Vivekanand and Mr. P. Balaram among others.
