Pillai hits Tamil waters

Secretary G K Pillai that Hyderabad
will be part of Telangana not only angered the Andhra heavyweights but also
affected supply of drinking water in neighbouring Chennai. Leaders from Rapur
town, Nellore,
across political allegiance went to the Kandaleru Reservoir site and shut the
head regulator. 2,000 cusecs of water are released into Kandaleru – Poondi
water canal which is the source of drinking water for the city.
