Leak in Liberhan Commission
There has been a leak in the Liberhan Commission that is looking into the Babri Masjid demolition. The Commission headed by retired judge Manmohan Singh Liberhan was dealing with the sensitive issue of the demolition that took place in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992. The leaders of the Opposition had disrupted proceedings in both the Houses alleging that there was a leak in the Commission. Parts of the report were leaked to the media on Monday. The reports have indicted former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of Opposition Lal Krishna Advani (or Lalchand Kishen Advani), Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj and other top leaders of BJP along with the leaders of the Shiv Sena. The leak comes in wake of all the Opposition being united in the Sugarcane Ordinance. The CPI and the CPM have also supported Advani in his demand for immediate tabling of the report. The report might be tabled today in the Parliament.
