India ranked 84 in corruption
India
continues to be corrupt as a survey by the Transparency International, an
international NGO ranks India
to be 84 among the 184 countries that have been surveyed. It had a score of 3.4
on the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) with 0 being the most corrupt and 10
being the least. This shows that the anti corruption laws and punishments have
to be stricter. The most corrupt country was Somalia
ranked 180 with a CPI of 1.1 followed by Afghanistan
1.3, Myanmar 1.4 and Sudan and Iraq tied at 176 with a CPI of 1.5.
New Zealand
occupied the position of being the least corrupt country with a CPI of 9.4.
