Boy found dead
The
body of a three year old boy was found near the Melbourne Airport in Australia
on Friday. The boy was identified as Gurshan Singh Channa. The body of the
toddler was found about 20kms away from his home. According to the police, they
had launched a manhunt to trace the boy after they had received a complaint from
the boy’s parents that the boy had gone missing from home. The police said it
had found Gurshan’s body on Wildwood Road, Oaklands Junction near the airport
after they had begun the search for the missing kid. A team of homicide
detectives of the Victoria Police are searching for clues that could help them
nab the culprit or culprits. The boy, along with his family was on a vacation
and the family was due to return to India later in the week. According to the
authorities, Harpreet Kaur, Gurshan’s mother who was studying in Australia
called the police and informed them that her son was missing for the past 45
minutes. After receiving the phone call, the police started a manhunt. They were
to return to India as the boy’s father failed to get a job. According to
Detective Inspector Steve Clark said the autopsy was performed but the reports
were inconclusive. The police sought public help and information if anyone had
seen the body being dumped at the Oaklands Junction.
