Godman in sex scandal
Nityananda Swamy, a self proclaimed “Swamy” was caught in a sex scandal after a news channel had exposed him with a little known Tamil actress Ranjitha. Though his hardcore followers claim that the video aired by the news channel was to tarnish his image, the news had created a lot of unrest in the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The ashram had a deserted look after the news was aired and was guarded by about 50 police constables. According to an official source, the tape was authentic as its authenticity was tested. The Swamy was “missing” after the news was telecasted.
