Blast in Connecticut Power Plant
          A blast in a power station in Connecticut, a state in the North-Eastern part of the United States of America claimed the lives of fifty people. Brain Albert, speaking from the Middlesex hospital that had been treating the injured from the blast said that the reports varied and there was a possibility that the number of the dead differed “from a few, several to possibly as many as 50 dead.”  According to certain news channels in the United States, as many as 250 people were injured in the blast. According to reports, the blast took place just before 11:30 am (10 pm IST) while testing a 620 MW gas-fired power plant due to come online in summer.
